Djokovic is out, Federer is gone, there’s only one left of the big 3 and its Rafa Nadal, the bull from Mallorca, he’s in the US Open final against Daniil Medvedev, a 23 year old Russian who’s won the most matches on tour this season at 50. It’s probably a final not many predicted but Medvedev has earned his place with blistering form during the American summer, being the only player along with Lendl and Agassi to make the Washington, Cincinnati, Toronto and US Open finals in one season, but does he have a chance against Rafa? US Open Women’s Final Preview 2019

 

We’ve got two players at opposite ends of their careers.  A 37-year-old legend of the game with 23 Slams, 72 Career titles, over US$90 million in prize money who is trying to squeeze every ounce out of a Hall of Fame career vs a 19 year old who only turned pro two years ago, couldn’t make it through qualifying at last years’ US Open but has now found herself one win away from the title.
