I think I was about 13 at the time, my cousin Adrian had a motorbike, which I thought was cool. He was a big Manly fan. One day after I’d finished running Track and Field at Narrabeen he said, “Do you want to go to Brookvale to watch Manly play?” My eyes lit up. “I can take you on the back of my bike”. Game of Thrones
My buddy Swami told me about this show that he watches called ‘Game of Thrones’. I’d never heard about it. This conversation happened about 4 years ago. ‘You have to watch this show’ he said excitedly. ‘Its about these different kingdoms that are all battling to get on the iron throne’. I was intrigued but in no hurry to break out the popcorn. Finally one night I relented and parked myself in front of the TV and pressed play. All it took was one scene to get me hooked. Novak Djokovic is Dominating
Eight years ago Novak Djokovic won the Australian Open as a 20 year old; he had arrived to the big show. The question was could he build on it and continually challenge the Grand Slam monopoly that Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal had created? The answer was no. Marilyn Manson ‘Antichrist Superstar’
In the 90’s Marilyn Manson was the bogeyman and public enemy number one. He had the Christian right after him, the PMRC after him and politicians after him. Manson set the rock world on fire and was reveling in the wreckage. The teenage element saw him as their evil outlet, thrilled that their parents didn’t approve whom I’m sure would have preferred posters on their kids walls of Hootie and the Blowfish.
